Feature Request: Not add mounted devices

Not sure if there is a bullet proof approach, but at least some basic check if the devices is listed in /proc/mounts would be great.
I accidentally added a mounted device with plots and tried to copy the very same plots into plotfs...

Did you mount the drive or the partition?

I mounted the drive directly, file system was created on the device directly without a partition. Does it make a difference?
