Issue with multiline: true

When using multiline: true on a div with a set width, and a max-height, truncate seems to always truncates to two lines, regardless of whether the text is meant to be cut off at three or four lines.

dotdotdot is the plugin i ended up using, configurable and pretty good, has
some quirks though.

Unfortunately the demo is not even working out of the box so I am going to give dotdotdot a try too - which is also on github https://github.com/BeSite/jQuery.dotdotdot

This issue might be due to the plugin not taking into account the line-height css attribute. I created a branch with the fix here (and submitted a pull request): https://github.com/zacwitte/jquery-truncate
