9v Alkaline Battery Drains quickly when implemented in the circuit

I have used a 9 V battery in the scoreboard circuit and the problem with this is that the battery drains .01 per second. The reason might be high current that shortens battery life.

 I will measure the current in the counter button, 555 timer, the outputs of sn74ls169bn, and the outputs of the CD4511.
