It would be great to also have battery data: percentage and maybe kwh, current consumption (power).

Temperatures and brake pedal pressure (in addition to the current boolean value) would also be useful.

Edit: Oh, and GPS altitude!

I'm not disagreeing, but what is the purpose of those metrics in a dashcam video? Isn't the primary use case for insurance? If so, why would insurance care about battery percentage?..

There are many more use cases for dashcam videos: analysing driver performance, racing/drag events, videoblogging/reviews, engineering, surveying... (I'm the developer of the Telemetry Overlay software)

While I don't disagree, I don't think this information is available in the dashcam video frames (at least in the normal mode - I believe Track Mode records some additional metrics).

If you want full historical data, including power and battery metrics over time, you might want to take a look at TeslaMate (note that it doesn't have anything to do with dashcam videos, though).

I do use Teslamate exactly for that. I posted this here because I thought you had some control over what's embedded in the video data stream. In any case it's already great to have some of the data within the dashboard videos themselves https://www.instagram.com/p/DSS8n6Ij782/
