[FEATURE] Aspect-Ratio–Aware Layout for Mixed-Size Galleries (#146)
Describe the bug
First off — I really like the direction with the newer layout types 👍
They’ve been a great addition overall.
That said, it looks like much of the behavior introduced with the aspect-ratio–aware layouts is no longer present.
Currently I mostly get uniform rectangles / squares again:
- across multiple Masonry variants
- and in Mosaic
Images no longer seem to influence tile shape based on aspect ratio — the layouts behave similarly to fixed uniform tiling.
This feels like a regression compared to earlier behavior.
To Reproduce
- Open a gallery with mixed portrait and landscape images
- Switch between Masonry layouts
- Switch to Mosaic
- Observe tile shapes
Expected behavior
- Tile sizes/shapes should reflect image aspect ratios
- Mixed portrait/landscape sets should produce varied layout geometry
- Similar to behavior after [FEATURE] Aspect-Ratio–Aware Layout for Mixed-Size Galleries #146 implementation
Actual behavior
- Tiles appear mostly uniform
- Frequently rendered as rectangles/squares
- Aspect ratio influence appears minimal or absent
Environment
- PicPeak Version: (e.g. 3.13 beta)
- Browser: Chrome / Edge
