Bass will not play dual channel (stereo) wav files

I'm not sure if this is an issue with GMod's bass.library, but only mono wav files will play. Starfall will say sounds couldn't be loaded.
However, stereo vorbis (ogg) files work fine; this is what I usually convert these to if they need to loop.
