Does the 'kerf' variable actually get used?

Hi Ryan, Yeah I need to remove that, I don't believe it's used anymore. I measure my material with calipers in a few places and use the largest for material thickness. Your mileage may vary depending on your laser though.

My material thickness is pretty consistent, but getting tight fits where there's finger joints requires some adjustment of that parameter to account for laser kerf right?

I see, the laser I have access to is shared and pretty well abused so the kerf probably adds enough slop. Let me know what u come up with and I'll pull it back in if others can use it.

FWIW, laser-cut from Ponoko fits pretty tightly, but I had to file out the board carrier to get my boards to fit without binding. Maybe a parameter for board fit in the carrier?
