I currently have not considered audio streams - this would be a future todo.

As for rendering, this module is used by a much larger project (SAGE2 - https://bitbucket.org/sage2/sage2).
Decoded frames are streamed to a web client which uses WebGL to render. SAGE2 chops the frames into equal sized square chunks for streaming and rendering. Check out the SAGE2/public/src/SAGE2_BlockStreamingApp.js if you're interested.
