What problem are you trying to solve?

The cargo-dist tool is intended to automate workflows for publishing binary artifacts using Cargo. We should look into whether it's useful to us.

How should the problem be solved?

Maybe consider replacing our current binary publishing workflows with cargo-dist. Potentially look into whether this can be used to publish releases that can be consumed by package managers?

Any alternatives you've considered?

Not do this. Our current binary publishing automation might be better suited for our current needs.
