Meshtastic Compatibility

Is there any technical or practical reason why connecting the Air unit to Meshtastic would be difficult or not recommended? Would the flashing be straightforward? Would I need to use USB-UART to connect directly to the LoRa-E5 board, or could I flash via the USB port?
Are there any features or use cases I'd lose by switching to Meshtastic, or is it as straightforward as flashing the firmware and configuring the device?
I'm curious about your thoughts on this approach and whether there are any considerations I might have missed.

Hi @jonasftw you can flash via USB port . also if you want to access to MCU debugging pins you can use USB type C extension board and can connect to st-link debugger . But I am not sure if you need to change the firmware on Loko Air side . I am just not familiar with meshtastic data package . but on meshtastic receiver nods you can implement to receive data from Loko Air.

Did this lead anywhere, yet? In my region there's already a good coverage of meshtastic and the tracker could connect to those nodes to send its position. I'd hope it could be used then to track my bike.
