Editor headings clash with system time

What happened?

Ran code in the editor, ran fine . Rotated to see if run in both aspect ratios and closed to editor. Across the top the editor headings had shrunk in height and overlapped the system time and wouldn’t respond to touches. It took rotating a few time to restore editing but noted the system time was at the top of the editor. Is this a feature of the change in windows to the rounded corners and adjustable window size ? Can you suppress the system time or at least give an option to include/exclude it ?

Note - a little more info about this, the issue occurs if you run a project and turn from say portrait to landscape in project running mode. The compression occurs when you change to editor mode in that orientation. Tapping in the top left then can result in the windowed editor mode. Switching the orientation does return to the correct spacing.

Any chance we can get a screen recording of this happening? I tried to reproduce by doing:

• Open project
• Run project
• Rotate to landscape
• Go back to editor

But was unable to do so.

Also what version of iOS are you on? 18 or 26?

Hi @sims I'm o 3.16 (588) and have recently updated to iOS 2.16. I have just tried to reproduce the issue to video but it doesn't appear to occur now - which makes me think the issue was iOS based and was corrected in this latest update - I note it included an update to app windowing The issue occurred in a project I am playing with so if it occurs again I'll video and post it to you. Sorry - iPad is now on 2.62 was on 2.61, getting a bit dyslexic in my old age. p.s. you may now be seeing a lot of crash reports from me, Codea is now clashing on a project I pasted in from ChatGPT - the one that started this post. Could there be characters present in copied ChatGPT code that could interfere with Codea ? Will stop posting here now like this and will report via the forum if I can identify what is causing the issue.
