Unable to connect to AP after client configured

This is a great utility. But I've noticed that after I connect to the AP the first time and set up the client connection, subsequent attempts to connect to the AP give me a bad password error unless I reboot.

I'm running the container on a Pi Zero Wireless with Raspberry Pi OS Lite.

I've gotten the password error from both an iPhone connecting or a Linux PC connecting, both after having connected previously.

Maybe I'm just doing something wrong?

No I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Same thing happens to me. I just reboot the Pi to fix the problem.
