Make a server solution to protect home networks

I tried to reproduce the issue when...

• uBO is the only extension.
• uBO uses default lists and settings.
• using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

I try to contact the developers outside the github but it is not an option: no email or mailing list are provided here. So sorry to bother you but this is the only channel I found.

First of all, I want to thank you for the ublockorigin work. This is a great extension.

As a local network manager I could install adblock origin in every computer, but this implies a lot of work. I miss some server solution, like Adguardhome or pi-hole. However these solution are DNS-based, so they do not filter javascripts or other elements in page like uBO does.

So I request you to write some server software to filter adblocking with several techniques: DNS-based, javascript blocking, HTML element blocking lists.

It could be pluggable, for, for example, put a plugin to block some elements.

I know it is related to other project, not uBO, but as I previously said it is implossible to reach @gorhill or other devs outside here. I saw the README o Licenses but no email provided.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Not to install uBO in every computer
2. Server related software to filter DNS, HTML contents, JS contents, WASM contents, etc.

Expected behavior

Configure uBlockOrigin-server and put my resolv.conf to the IP of the computer installed.

It won't happen. uBO is an extension and works based on browsers' APIs. There won't be other work beyond that. We don't have time and motivations for these.

Yes. It is a lot of work for you but the most effortable part (JS filter) is done with uBO. But yes, definitively it could not be done in 2 days

If you think it can be done in 2 days, feel free to do it yourself. Don't tell others to do the work for your personal demand.
