`scalars` are inconsistent between `init_atmosphere` and `atmosphere`

In init_atmosphere, scalars contains qv, qc, qr, qi, qs, qg, qh,ni, nr, nc, ns, ng, nifa, nwfa:

In atmosphere,    scalars contains qv, qc, qr, qi, qs, qg, ni, nr, ng, nc, nifa, nwfa, volg for the hrrrv5 physics suite:

The former lacks volg and has extra qh, ns compared to the latter.
Should we make the scalars in init_atmosphere to be consistent with those in atmosphere? Thanks!

Hi @guoqing-noaa -- thanks for bringing this up. We discussed this as a group earlier today. We think that init_atmosphere should also have volg in its scalars array. There is no input source for graupel volume (volg) at the moment, but it makes sense to add it there as there eventually could be such initialization data.

qh and ns are not prognostic variables in the hrrrv5 physics suite, so we think it's OK to leave them as-is (connected only to the NSSL. microphysics scheme).

We need to turn on tempo_hailaware_in in init_atmosphere and we need to initialize volg correctly.

Thanks for the conversation with @barlage, we may turn on tempo_hailaware_in at this location, similar to tempo_aerosolaware_in :
