Power loss causes cover to move upon power restore

After power is restored from a power loss, the relay activates which activates the garage door opener.
This can lead to undesirable cover movement.

Will need to look into both hardware and software mitigations

Updated observations
Only happens when pluged in.
Does not happen at pi reboot or script starting.

I disconnected the signal line to the relay then unplugged and plugged in the unit. The cover did not move. But when the signal pin was reconnected. The relay was activated on power-cycle.
This can be due to a voltage glitch when the pi is powering up.

Possible solutions:
Add a capacitor to act as a glitch filter.
Or add a 10+k ohm pull down resistor to the pin.
