fix thumbdrive detection

The tool still fails to detect thumbdrives.
The thread on the forum is also filled with reports from users who all share the same issue but it has not been fixed in YEARS.

Please fix that problem - it is a VERY bad first impression as this is the main installation method on the website.

If you can't fix the issue then please provide an IMG to be flashed with rufus and change your install instructions accordingly.

1.8 usb creator can't detect my usb drive UUID. Previous versions worked well. Using 16GB sandisk 3.1 gen 1.

Using macOS Monterey? please try this release:

I've had the same issue on macOS Montery v12.4 and USB creator 1.8. Can confirm it does work with the 2.1 USB creator @eschultz shared. Thanks 😄
