Just to try to narrow the cause of the issue down a bit, are you using the provided Dark colorscheme in the extension or a custom one? Did you notice if the same border shows up when using a different colorscheme?

Using the included one, border persists in the light mode. Only seems to happen in Nightly. Tried turning off all other addons, problem persists.
