Black Screen after power loss on Rev. 4 ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-4 board

Hello I m looking forward for some help - I like the project verz mouch ß it looks great but I have an issue..
The actual version Rev. 4 bord I ordered from Waveshare has a problem after power loss.
I am able to build and upload the code to the board and I can see the monitoring feedback and also the gui on the screen as expected. Onlz when I remove the board from the USB-C cable and restart it via USBßc again or also via the GPIO DC 7-36V connector it starts the red light is on the backlicght is on but the screen is empty. I tied with an without dimming feature no change.
Please help.

I've actually built the firmware for the Rev3. I just had a look at the Rev4 and they made some major changes in hardware that would need to rewrite quite a bunch of code, implement board version detection and re-reverse engineer the dimming feature. It's quite a lot of work
If you can find a Rev3 that'd be much better. (check AliExpress, they should have some)

If you want to give it a shot in modifying the firmware I have attached a pre-analysis from Claude highlighting the differences between v3 and v4 and potential changes needed in the codebase.

Edit: I may dig into it in the upcoming weeks/months if I have some time (and a board). The rev4 is very interesting since it has dimming control via software directly embedded rather than having to tinker with the hardware using specialized tools. This makes it very user friendly and approachable.

I have made some changes on a new branch, based on the doc and new firmware from waveshare, but it's not tested on my end - so try at your own risk for now :)
