Description
We all know the theory: don't use rainbow, be inclusive, but make the colours distinctive enough so features can be identified from the data. But respecting this and making sure that extremes are well represented as well is all but easy. This can be one general 'visualise temperature' challenge, or two: 1) visualise surface/2m temperature and 2) visualise air temperature so one scale works reasonably well for both lower and higher levels in the atmosphere.
