After updating from v4.7.5 to 4.8.1, I immediately noticed the 'App page > 3-dots > Play Store' feature has been removed. Is there a specific reason for this? It was actually the main reason I use Aurora Store.
Who else loves that little gem?
The reason I love that feature is:
Aurora Store typically shows updates available before Play store does (because of staged-rollout), and nobody is OCD enough to manually navigate to the Play Store app info page of every installed app regularly just to see if there's an update available that doesn't appear in Play Store's 'Updates Available' because it hasn't hasn't been rolled out to their cohort yet, so I had become accustomed to this great feature, because it allows me to get updates through the Play Store much sooner, and the delta updates save gigabytes of precious mobile data per month, plus an increasing number of popular apps refuse to run when installed or updated outside of the Play Store these days anyway.
So, I immediately downgraded back to 4.7.5, but then I noticed I can't login with my google account anymore (the account I was already logged in with just 3 minutes ago before updating to 4.8.1) - it gives a 'Could not generate AAS Token' error toast. Only Anonymous login works with 4.7.5 now.
I would have just stuck on 4.7.5 if I had of known the feature had been removed (not mentioned in changelog) and I'd get locked out of Google Account login, but alas what's done is done, so I just have to use 4.7.5 with anonymous login instead. Which is fine for now, but in principle I'd prefer to use the latest version and be logged in if possible.
Anyway, not complaining or anything, just raising the topic and checking up regarding this awesome feature. Any feedback or discussion from devs or users?
Cheers.
P.S. - A small bug in both 4.7.5 and 4.8.1: scrolling to the bottom of the blacklist manager page crashes that page.
