Create a printer suggestion wizard for users.
[ ] What is the bounding box of your print in inches? Length => PrinterType, Width => PrinterType, Height => PrinterType

[ ] Can your print be rotated to fit in a printer's build volume? Yes/No

[ ] How many colors did you want your print in? 1-max(materials) or Full Color => PrinterType

[ ] Does your print require support structure? Yes/No => PrinterType

[ ] Would you like the support structure to be breakaway support? (Yes/No) => PrinterType

[ ] Is there a specific material(s) you were interested in using? Any/Material Name => Material

[ ] Are you printing an architectural model (ie. stationary object) or a functional prototype (ie. gears or wheels to be used in something). yes/no => PrinterType

rather than: "Would you like the support structure to be breakaway support?" you might want to ask "Should the support be break-away, dissolvable, or [powder]?"

also, there's no need to differentiate between stationary and moveable. it's a matter of mechanical strength:
"Are you printing an architectural model or functional hardware?" (i know it sounds weird, but the students will understand the difference)

Thanks! In that case I'll work on a mockup of the first wizard. These questions will likely have a lot more fluff as I make it kind of like a tutorial piece, and attempt to educate the user. I was just using gears as an example of something placed under stress. But functional hardware is definitely better description.
