Great, today I got this to work on my Macbook. Next, I'll try to move it over to a Raspberry Pi.

If you wanna compile on macOS for Raspi, you will have to cross compile for Raspi, like so e.g.:
env GOOS=linux GOARCH=arm go build -v
And transfer the generated file to your Raspi for example using scp.
This is how I work.
