Moving forward: Status update on PyTado

Hey everyone,

I wanted to give you an honest update about the future of PyTado.

I'm stepping back from active development. Instead, I'm now contributing to python-tado, which is a more modern library built from the ground up with async support and 100% test coverage.

What this means for PyTado:

• The project stays alive and accessible
• I'll happily merge PRs on main (v1.0), support/0.18, and support/0.19 whenever I have time
• I won't be doing my own feature development anymore
• Bug fixes will be limited – I'll help where I can, but it won't be my focus

How to reach me:
If you have a PR ready or need something merged, just mention me (@wmalgadey) in a GitHub Discussion or Issue, and I'll get to it when time allows.

Thanks for using PyTado over the years. If you're looking for something more actively maintained with modern async patterns, check out python-tado.
