VCPKG artifacts?

During the XBB - Second Edition discussions, the following comment was dane by @0Grit:

VCPKG supports a concept called artifacts that may be useful for inspiration. https://devblogs.microsoft.com/cppblog/vcpkg-artifacts/

VCPKG seems to add features also related to embedded projects, so it might provide some inspiration.

Are the packages managed by you such as xpack-arm-toolchain support vcpkg registries or do you plan to support it?

Frankly, I have no idea how to do this, my initial experience with VCPKG was not great, almost everything I tried ended in more questions than answers. :-(

So, if someone had a better experience, any concrete suggestions will be appreciated.
