I’m experiencing a persistent TX issue when using xPilot with the default X-Plane 12 C172 and Honeycomb Alpha yoke.
Issue Summary:
• xPilot shows COM1 TX permanently active as soon as Avionics Bus 1 is turned on.
• The C172’s COM1 MIC or COM2 MIC is always forced ON in the virtual audio panel and cannot be turned off.
• PTT assigned in X-Plane (“xPilot → Radio Push-To-Talk”) does not register at all.
• No joystick buttons are stuck; confirmed through X-Plane’s input viewer.
• All auto-radio features in xPilot are disabled, and no keyboard bindings are mapped to transmit.
• Removing all radio/key bindings, deleting preferences, and reloading the aircraft does not clear the hot-mic condition.
• When radios are powered, TX stays latched and audio becomes heavily degraded (“underwater”), consistent with continuous transmission.
Expected behavior:
• COM1 MIC should default to OFF until manually selected.
• TX should activate only when the PTT button is held.
• Audio panel selections in the C172 should not auto-latch MIC channels.
System:
• X-Plane 12 (latest)
• xPilot 3.0.1
• Honeycomb Alpha yoke
• Windows 11
• Default Laminar C172SP (no mods)
If you can advise whether this is an aircraft logic bug, a dataref state issue, or an xPilot integration problem, I’d appreciate guidance.
Cheers
