Description
This will probably be one of the more opionated features of Yagami but I think it has too much potential not to implement.
When creating a mappool, alongside specifying the map there should be a mandatory input box to select the skillset of the map. Similar to how sheeting templates have "comments" for maps on the mappool, but there will be a list of skillsets to choose from. This could be split into primary and secondary skillsets for the same map.
It's worth researching and discussing this with other tournament/mapping community members so we don't apply strictly our own views on the rules for really subjective categories. I'm fine with arranging this research myself.
Potential for future features
Just from initial speculation I can think of several very useful features that we can implement with these data labels:
- A mappool map browser that can filter by skillset
- Extensive skillset based player stats that could be viewed on someone's profile, which would help other players and commentators scout more easily
- (spicy idea) An ELO that could use differences in player's best to worst skillsets to give a more accurate rating.
- (extra spicy idea) a labelled dataset that could train some sort of classification algorithm to automatically predict a map's skillsets.
