plugins support?

Hello,

From what I've tested, it seems that this implementation offers no way to access the configured alsa plugins.
For example, I would like to use the very common plughw device that notably does automatic samplerate conversion, instead of directly recording from hw and having to do the samplerate conversion myself.

Did I miss something?
