States/saves possible future feature?

Would it be possible in future updates to integrate save states?
Particularly auto load save state in Retroarch so that the loading/initialisation screen can be bypassed.

It's planned. I already took a stab at it, thinking that it may be easier to start the work from an UEF file saved from other emulator, but I ran into problems with the CPU state representation and had to abandon this idea. There are other approaches, I'll continue eventually.
