iOS/Steam DLC Support

There is no way to get this core on iOS (through the App Store) and no way to get this on Steam (without side-loading). I would love to be able to test this on both of those platforms easily! (Esp iOS)

I'm not sure if that is only available when it's out of beta but it would be fantastic!

I am also not sure how to test this. I installed the latest RA on Windows and Android, and could not see the core to download. Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can get this and test it?

Try updating core info files from the Online Updater, then delete the core.info.cache file from the info folder then try again..

That because the (Win) Cores are stored here on the buildbot ;)

Once I updated the core info files and deleted the Core cache file the BBC Core showed up in the core updater.

I would think that once it gets pushed from nightly to main release then it will be available on all major platforms easily.

The only outlier to this is getting it on App Stores (Steam, Amazon App Store, Samsung Galaxy Store, Huawei App Gallery, Google Play, Apple App Store) which apparently requires express permission from someone (either core dev and/or emulator dev?)

That's what I'm trying to assess here with this issue.

It's still only on Win - hoping it goes to Android soon :-)
If it helps I have an email from the original developer with express permission allowing it to be used for RetroArch - let me dig the email out. (Sorry realised this was an iOS related Issue - didn't mean to jump on with queries about Android).

No worries - glad you are still here :-) Yeah I have Obtanium on my Android devices, so picking up the nightly builds, with experimental cores on. As soon as it pops up I'll start testing.

Hey @zoltanvb I guess that this latest release only included iOS, macOS, and tvOS for b2.

Have you gotten any word on how to get this b2 core added to Steam as DLC?
