3. CCATTEST and CCATTEST2 remain on mainnet as historical rehearsal contracts and are not the official collection

1. this repository is the active Core production path
2. core-cats-eth is a historical reference archive, not a parallel active implementation
3. contracts/reference_eth/ and scripts/reference_eth/ remain as clearly labeled imported reference material
4. final manifest and viewer artifacts live under manifests/
5. the historical PNG part library is not fully mirrored here; active canonical outputs are manifests, packed on-chain data, and published viewer artifacts
6. assets/traits/beam.png is the notable local exception because the current no-logo beam superrare path still uses that overlay directly
