Rational Resources mod in CRP play mode made many custom changes to resources. It also comes with modlets that could potentially change Workshop resources like MetalOre and Metal. It's probably too much work to patch them all. But they did add OmniConverters for all their new resources and production chains. So simply adding the Omni facilities to CRP play mode would solve all these problems.
