Happy New Year! This release is the first to implement new features and significant bugfixes since the transition to new maintainers.

• [Chore] The Distutils.Version has been replaced with Packaging.Version as Distutils has been deprecated.
• [Fix] Version parsing logic has been updated to support macOS versions that include parenthesized letters (ie. "macOS 26.3 (a)"), fixing a bug where these versions would cause Packaging.Version to throw an exception.
• [Feature] New operators have been added to Advanced Search to support comparison using "Starts with" and "Ends with".
• [Feature] All references to munkilib have been removed from all server-side scripts. This release of Sal should be fully compatible with Munki 7 and later.
• [Feature] The MachineDetailSecurity server-side script has been updated to report Bootstrap Token status. MDM Bootstrap Token readiness and Bootstrap Token Escrow status is now reported on the Dashboard and Machine Details.
• [Feature] The MDATPInfo plugin has been added to support incoming functionality on sal-scripts for reporting Microsoft Defender telemetry in the Machine Details view.
  • If your environment does not contain any devices running the upcoming version of sal-scripts and reporting Defender telemetry, this plugin will not be visible. If your environment does not contain devices running Microsoft Defender, you will see no change.
