A template repository for creating LaTeX projects using VSCode
This template requires VSCode and the LaTeX Workshop extension. You also need a LaTeX distribution installed on your machine, such as TeX Live (cross-platform, recommended), MiKTeX (Windows), or MacTeX (macOS, same as TeX Live but for macOS).
The template used here is a generic Optica journal template. The template and styles are not important; those can easily be swapped out.
The main advantage this repo provides is the .gitignore list and the .vscode directory which hides unnecessary build files in your Explorer tree within VSCode. When used with the LaTeX Workshop extension, this makes for a clean and efficient LaTeX writing environment.
To use this template, simply click the "Use this template" button at the top of the page to create a new repository based on this template. Then clone your new repository to your local machine and start writing your LaTeX document in template.tex.
