⚡ Hi, I'm Basel (BaselAsh)

CS Student @ SCU | Full-Stack Developer | Arch Linux Power User

"I use Arch, by the way."

👨‍💻 About Me

I'm a second-year Computer Science student and a developer who obsesses over efficiency. I specialize in the PERN stack and low-level systems, but I spend half my time ricing my Linux setup.

  • 🔭 Focus: Crushing Data Structures & Algorithms and building scalable web apps.
  • 🐧 Daily Driver: Arch Linux + Hyprland. (If it's not custom, I don't want it).
  • Fuel: Powered by coffee and the fear of segmentation faults.
  • 🏋️ Offline: Powerlifter (Ask me about my 200kg deadlift) & JDM Car enthusiast.

🛠️ The Arsenal

If I can't do it from the terminal, I probably won't do it.

🚀 Highlight: IT Infrastructure Lead

Math Dept. Revitalization Project (SCU)

Or: "How I fixed 95 computers with a spreadsheet and a flash drive."

I led a volunteer team to restore the computer labs at the Faculty of Science.

  • The Scale: Audited and repaired 95+ workstations.
  • The Engineering: Designed a hybrid deployment of Windows 7 and Linux Mint to optimize legacy hardware.
  • The Result: Built a fully offline development environment for student labs.

🎯 Current Focus (Leveling Up)

Instead of just taking classes, I'm actively mastering these domains:

  • Algorithms: Solving complex problems (LeetCode/Codeforces style).
  • System Design: Learning how to architect scalable backends.
  • Low Level: Deep diving into memory management and pointers.
