Welcome to the first official release of the Starter Data Kits (SDKs)! This release establishes a standardized, automated pipeline to help energy planners move from "no data" to "first model" in record time.

By integrating the workflows for OnSSET and OnStove, this repository now serves as a central hub for generating geospatial energy and clean cooking baselines for countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

🌟 What’s Inside?

We’ve moved away from manual data scraping and toward a "Code-First" approach:

Automated Pipelines: Notebooks now fetch data directly from global sources (Global Solar/Wind Atlas, World Bank, OSM) via API.

Model Ready: Scripts to transform raw geospatial rasters into the specific structures required for the Open Source Spatial Electrification Tool.

🛠 Technical Changes

Standardized Directory Structure: Organized by tool (OnSSET/ vs OnStove/) and country codes for easier scaling.

Dependency Management: Added requirements.txt to ensure consistent environments across geopandas, rasterio, and osmnx.
