Description:

The upcoming event notification banner is only shown on the homepage and can be configured through the WordPress admin panel. To change the upcoming event:

  1. Click on the "Theme Settings" menu located on the admin panel sidebar
  2. Change content in the "Upcoming Event" section
  3. Click "Update" on the right-hand sidebar

Notes:

  • If no "Title" is specified, the banner will not be displayed
  • The "Date" is optional. If specified, the date will be preceded with "on"
  • If no "Button Text" is specified the button will not be displayed

For developers:

The upcoming event notification banner is implemented in header.php and uses custom fields which can be imported from Theme Settings.json. The code which creates the sidebar item for "Theme Settings" can be found in theme-settings.php.
