Hi Derek,
this is the aspect-fastscape branch I currently use. It includes the things I added like the extra erosional baselevel, the parameter to fix the topography for periodic models that you suggested, the masks for the sediment_age and depo_depth and changes Anne made to get stratigraphy working correctly. It also undoes the change of order done in geodynamics#2780.
This branch is based on a main from february, which might make it a bit complicated with the PR as it has so many files now, sorry for that!
But since you are working on your branch atm, I thought this is a good point to PR mine.
