- This webpage is to be able to have a random movie, food and drink selected to create the perfect date!
- Our motivation to create this project is to help couples decide on a dinner/movie date without fighting over what to select.
- Our group designed this webpage to help understand how to work together on a group project through Github and further our knowledge on API calls.
- The webpage allows the user to generate a random movie, food and drink for their date. While also being able to rate their previous dates based on the random selections.
- What we learned throughout the project:
- Andrew Eysoldt
- As a web developer Andrew was able learn a new technology "Tailwind", by researching the technology and applying to the webpage
- As a web developer Andrew was able to overcome the challenges of working on a project in a team environment and apply to this project.
- Brandon Maggiano
- Brandon was able to learn how to set arrays of objects into local storage using the same key value, then how to access those items and traverse through them to print them to the user in a readable format.
- As a web developer Brandon was able to learn how to efficiently create fetch calls using JS and become even more efficient at traversing through the data to find and print the objects to display to the user.
- Miguel Gallardo
- As a web developer Miguel learned how to create links that takes the user into a new tab to prevent the confusion to the user of assuming that the new location was the same webpage.
- Miguel was also able to learn the process of linking and styling images to display to the webpage.
- Daniel Valean
- As a web developer Daniel was able to learn the fundamentals of building JavaScript API calls.
- Daniel was able to gain the knowledge of establishing local storage with a responsive layout.
- Daniel was able to learn how to apply a 5 star rating user input to a webpage for the user to rate an experience.
- Dustin Moore
- As a web developer Dustin was able to learn the process of managing a team of developers to obtain a combined desired outcome.
- In addition Dustin was able to overcome the obstacles of reviewing the GitHub processes and what each developer must to do make sure the desired code was merged to the main branch.

- Simply follow the link through your browser.
- As a user, I want a random date generator website, so that it eliminates any choice anxiety when planning out my date.
- As a user, I want a choice between an event, a food item, and a drink, so that I have a complete plan for my date.
- As a user, I want a rating system, so that I can let the creators of the site know how much I enjoyed the random date.
- As a user, I want to view the creators of the site along with their contact information, so that I am able to contact them if deemed necessary.
-As a user you will;
- Visit the webpage through your preferred browser
- In the header the user may click on any of this top links to take them to the associated section about the link selected.
- Click on the "Pick a Date" Link in the header. (This will scroll you down to generate your options)
- Under the Movie Section click on "Generate Movie" button to generate a random movie to watch.
- Under the Food Section click on "Generate Food" button to generate a random movie to watch.
- Under the Drinks Section click on "Generate Drink" button to generate a random movie to watch.
- Once the user has reviewed the selections, they may save their date by selecting the "Save this Date" button.
- After clicking the "Save this Date" button the user will rate the experience 1-5 and the date will be saved for later review under "Your Saved Dates"
- If the user is no longer interested in their previous dates, clicking on "Clear Saved Dates" button will remove them.
- If the user would like to review a collaborator on a project, they may scroll down to the bottom of the page to review each collaborator's GitHub and associated links.
