Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install Elite Holograms on your Minecraft server:

Requirements

• A Minecraft server running one of the supported platforms:
  • Forge for Minecraft 1.19.2
  • Forge for Minecraft 1.20.x (e.g., 1.20.1)
  • NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1
• Access to the server's file system (to add mod JARs).
• (Optional but Recommended) A permissions management mod if you wish to use granular permissions:
  • LuckPerms
  • FTB Ranks

Installation Steps

1. Download the Correct Mod Version:

   • Go to the Elite Holograms CurseForge Page.
   • Navigate to the "Files" section.
   • Download the JAR file that corresponds to your server's Minecraft version and mod loader (Forge or NeoForge).
     • For Forge 1.19.2, look for a file like EliteHolograms-1.19.2-1.0.3-Forge.jar.
     • For Forge 1.20.x, look for a file like EliteHolograms-1.20.x-1.0.3-Forge.jar.
     • For NeoForge 1.21.1, look for a file like EliteHolograms-1.21.1-1.0.2-NeoForge.jar. (Note: Version numbers might differ for future releases.)

2. Upload to Server:

   • Locate the mods folder in your server's main directory. If it doesn't exist, create it.
   • Place the downloaded Elite Holograms JAR file into the mods folder.

3. (Optional) Install a Permissions Mod:

   • If you plan to use LuckPerms or FTB Ranks for managing hologram command permissions, ensure that mod is also installed in your mods folder. Elite Holograms will automatically detect them.
   • If you don't install a permissions mod, Elite Holograms will default to requiring Operator (OP) level 2 for all its commands.

4. Restart Your Server:

   • For the mod to load correctly, a full server restart is required.

5. Verify Installation (In-Game):

   • Once the server is back online, if you are an OP (or have the necessary permissions), try typing /eh list.
   • If the command is recognized (even if it says no holograms exist yet), the mod has likely loaded successfully.
   • You can also check your server console/logs for messages from "EliteHolograms" indicating it has initialized.

Initial Configuration (Permissions)

• If you are using LuckPerms or FTB Ranks, you will need to grant the appropriate Permissions to server groups or individual players. By default, only OPs will be able to use the commands.
