This is a gameplay mod for The Long Dark by Hinterland Studios
It aims to simulate survivor knowledge by putting restraints on a couple of gameplay features to better reflect how your character is learning over time.
- Many crafting recipies now tied to skill levels:
- Survival Bow
- Arrows and Arrowheads
- Bullets and cartridges
- Gunpowder
- Natural healing items
- Animal hide clothing items
- Etc
When you level up in the respective skill the crafting recipes will become available.
- Carcass Harvesting and Quartering now tied to Carcass Harvesting skill. Varies depending on the animal.
- Crafting cloth items grants Mending XP
- Values modifiable via Mod Settings menu
- More to come in the future!
- Harvesting plants will be tied to a skill
