Q: Why an other syntax highlighter for TiddlyWiki?

  • A/2: I heavily rely on TiddlyWiki-style wikis for my projects. Nowadays I work using Ruby, so I needed a solution I can syntax highlight Ruby code as well with the least amount of typing.

Q: Why the ={{{ ... =}}} markup?

  • A: In Ruby, multi-line comments can be written by using =begin{{{ ... =end}}}, so originally I used those as special markup for the formatter. Fortunately PMario, the author of the SyntaxHighlighterPlugin suggested to use the more succint ={{{ ... =}}}, and I was convinced.
