Genie 3 was a paid program (originally developed by Conny Wallstrom) used to connect and interact with DragonRealms. As of 2021, Genie 3 was released to the public as an open source project, allowing the community to manage its development moving forward. In March 2022, Simutronics announced they were making a change on their end that would end Genie 3's ability to connect to DragonRealms. For that reason, support of Genie 3 has been discontinued, and you should instead install or upgrade to Genie 4.
Genie 4 is latest version of Genie, which includes new development, features, and functionality as the community continues to improve the program. This is the only version that is actively maintained.
Genie 4 can be downloaded in the Genie 4 GitHub repository. Please review the installation instructions included in this User Guide.
We are eternally grateful to Djordje (Mark Cherry) for his invaluable contributions to Genie 4 before he passed. His guidance and technical expertise not only shaped the evolution of Genie 4, but left a lasting impact on the community. He will be in our hearts for years to come.
