Appearance

Amethysts are purple, small and square in appearance, shaped similar to emeralds. They are distinctively radiant with a slight purple luminescence under the lack of direct sunlight.

Where Found

Amethysts are naturally found in the cavernous networks and underground regions of the world. They are typically surrounded by hard rock, such as stone. Rarely but occasionally, they can be found underwater in a subterranean confined or perched aquifer. They may be purchased from a level 2 trade portal. They can also be found in golden chests, received from meditation, or growing on a gem tree.

Crafting

Five glass and ten amethysts can be used to craft an amethyst chandelier at a level 3 craft bench.

Portal Upgrades

Amethysts are needed to upgrade a portal to an amethyst (level 2) portal, allowing a blockhead to craft said amethyst pickaxe.
