CCS technologies
v1.0.0
This release adds CCS technologies to OSeMBE.
To capture the characteristics of CCS also the OSeMOSYS code has been slightly modified to allow negative emissions.
The following aspects have been modified:
- Added CCS technologies
- Allowed to be installed after 2020
- Fixed a bug related ESBMST
This model is the update of D7.3 of the H2020 REEEM project delivered at the end of the projcet in July 2019.
Small addition to documentation
v0.1.2
Information on raising aspects of interest for documentation
This release adds a disclaimer that suggestions on what to add to the documentation are welcome and should be submitted via issues on the GitHub repository of OSeMBE.

- Updated upper limits for natural gas import and extraction in Cyprus
- Limited activity of coal power plants in Denmark, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Slovenia for some of the first years
- Limited gas imports to Malta
OSeMBE first release
This is the first release of OSeMBE
- The model covers the 27 member countries of the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom
- Each country is represented with one electricity demand and a set of supply technologies
- The modelling period goes from 2015 to 2060
- The model has a time resolution of 15 time slices per year, with five seasons for which the typical days have each three time slices.
- The naming convention, used country and technology codes can be found in the documentation
- The first years, 2015-2016, of the modelling period have been validated against statistical data from IEA
- The model has been developed within the H2020 project REEEM
- A project deliverable report, including a brief documentation, is available on zenodo
This is the model delivered as D7.3 in 2018 in the H2020 REEEM project.
