These notes are manually updated and are focused on outlining a procedure. They might not work immediately, but hopefully they are a good starting point.
- establishing physical/electronic connection would ideally only happen once during setup
- power to the ZCU can be confirmed by checking its lights and fan for operation
- you probably need to reload the firmware after a power-on as well:
sudo fw-loader load hcal-zcu102
EXPERT.ELINKS.AUTO
- aligns the elinks so data can be readout
- only needs to be done once per power cycle of the HGCROC or loading of the firmware
- must be done before the HGCROC is put into run mode so the trigger links are sending idle words instead of pedestals
DAQ.SETUP.STANDARD
ROC.RUNMODE # only needed for pflib v3.3.0 and before
- sets up L1A capture delay and widths, defines fast control commands
- informs HGCROC we are entering running mode and sets its L1OFFSET
- needs to be done after a hard reset of the HGCROC (
ROC.HARDRESET) or after the elinks are aligned - must be done before any data collection can be taken place
