hey, thanks for opening this epic! the backend API changes look really solid.

one quick thing before we can merge: the CI checks are currently failing on the "Dependency Vulnerability Scan" step. could you take a look at the workflow logs and see if there's a quick fix?

you can check the details under the "Checks" tab on GitHub. let me know if you need any help deciphering the errors!
