PLASMAGHOST

I am sharing this as test- and example-code for libtsprites. It's a funny program to test your terminal speed ;)

BUILD

cd yourbuilddir
git clone https://github.com/M64GitHub/libtsprites.git
git clone https://github.com/M64GitHub/plasmaghost.git
cd plasmaghost
make

Please note, this is test code, I use this setup while working on libtsprites and test code simultaneously. You can skip building / "installing" a shared lib this way.

Build an AppImage

I have now added the build process for an AppImage. Please make sure all object files are updated -> do a make clean before building the AppImage.
Build via

make release

This will create Plasma_Ghost-x86_64.AppImage.

Note: the AppImage is created using the tool linuxdeploy. You can install it like this:

wget https://github.com/linuxdeploy/linuxdeploy/releases/download/continuous/linuxdeploy-x86_64.AppImage
chmod +x linuxdeploy-x86_64.AppImage

Please make sure to have adapted your PATH accordingly when using make release.

RUN

./plasmaghost

Please mind, plasmaghost loads it's assets (png files) from the 'resources/' subfolder. This is on purpose, as this is just test code and to keep experimenting flexible. Later those files can be converted to header files, zipped, etc (LibTSprites does not yet support such features).

Note: This does not apply to the AppImage. The image file will contain the resources, and load them from the internal filesystem.

CONTROL

  • Use cursor keys / vi keys to move up / right / down / left
  • ESC / q to quit
  • CTRL-C to quit
