what do you mean the industrial ore processor is faction only Anyone can research it for 15k points |
|
Added plastit bumpers because some smarty mentionned I could and that's an AMAZING idea. |
For direct mapping in ships, this is within the guidelines. Old rig used to have it on spawn which was against the new guidelines. |
|
I see I see that makes sense |

okay so preliminary (very partial) review:
|
Elaborate, I made both myself following the design rules of Drake Industries. This one may be more compact but has the same general shape and interior mindset.
Sure, I can make it two way.
Goes against the "all in" civilian focused mindset of my ships. Point defense is a no, I'm willing to add plastit on the front more, although I don't see the front
Done. |
old one felt more industrial, i feel this lacks decals and catwalks as for the belts, i meant that the old one 1) actually went to outside 2) had the ore processor on top |
Old one had a lot of space, this one is very compact (makes it even more industrial feeling in spirit)in it's rooms which is why decals might stand out less. I'll try and swap tileset to make it look as gritty as the old one using steel techmaint tiles. I'm adding catwalks to the salv bay for soul, thanks for bringing that up I forgor
You're right, fixing that stat. |

seems fine at a glance, real review later i guess |
|
Unhappy with the result not that I'm NOT looking at it when it's 3AM. will change some stuff. |

Honestly if I were you - I'd do a double laser if possible. We already have the caracara and Betelgeuse as 1 Apollo mining crafts |
If one laser is better than 4 pulsars I don't think I need to double on it. Especially for the other quality of life with the plastit bumpers and good old auto conveyor. If it's too undercut, I may do so in the future. |
Outsider's opinion, but even 2-3 pulsers are usually better than a singular apollo for the reason of apollo being charge-based. You can't mine a large roid in one go with 1 apollo, you'll simply run out of charges halfway in the making, and then wait for 30-45 seconds for it to recharge, instead of spending 10-15 additional seconds with pulsers. That's one of my main reasons why I, as someone who kinda got into it, avoid all apollo-based mining ships (with exception of vulture ofc, it has 3 of them) |
|
Noted, will adjust depending on further feedback once the ship is out (if it gets merged). |

About the PR
Title. I looked at it and thought I could do better, here we are.
Also resolves #3209
related shipyard doc fillin' Monolith-Station/mono-docs#19
Notable changes:
-Totally redid the shape. It's much more interesting (includes light salvage markers for soul)
-Removed industrial ore proc (can only map for faction ships, nerd)
-Added CTL-25 drive
-removed mining pulsers, replaced with singular apollo laser
-Revisited the interior, soulium overdose.
PS:
Price is not adjusted, appraise grid is still around 61K which is less than the selling price.
I did not add any sort of PD/armor on purpose. This craft's idea is to be a full in package for mining and industry, in the cost of depending on external/added-on defence.
Why / Balance
Better ships, yummy !!!
