Here I will document what work has been done.
Today I have created a first draft of my project plan and started looking at the raw data and created soft links to it in my repository.
Today I started with quality control for my sequences. For my short reads DNA sequences (Illumina), I got that the forward strand is of much better quality than the backward strand. Did the same analysis for the RNA sequences. It doesn't look like the reads were that good.
I did also did preprocessing for the DNA long reads with the use of porechop.
