docs: README (EN) v2.2.2 + tidy Pages

This PR focuses on public-facing docs and Pages only. No code/model/data changes.

README.md

• English, UTF-8/LF (no BOM).
• Accurate status for Atlas v2.2.2 (defaults: 221 useful / 30 families / 22.6% Ca).
• Clear modeling decision: NO-GO (R^2 target ≥ 0.20; MAE < 7.81 not met).
• Lab handoff package pointers under deliverables/lab_v2_2_2/.
• Roadmap → v2.3; License/Citation; Contact.

GitHub Pages

• Single strategy: branch-based (master / root).
• Minimal index.html reading deliverables/lab_v2_2_2/status.json if present; otherwise shows fallback counts.
• Added .nojekyll.

CI

• (None added) — keeps green by avoiding unnecessary checks.

Notes

• If deliverables/lab_v2_2_2/status.json exists in the future, homepage will display authoritative counts automatically.
• If not present, the fallback matches README defaults.

Acceptance: README renders without mojibake; Pages uses branch-based master/root; homepage loads live counts when available.

This PR's base tree was wrong and shows mass deletions. Please review the replacement draft PR #4, which only updates docs (README + Pages index) and keeps all repository files intact.
